Founding Engineer (Remote First) UK Only

We are an AI-driven hospitality tech platform helping vacation rental owners automate their revenue on Booking.com.

We are at $350k ARR, growing month-on-month, and have investment from angels. We have a product customers love, a validated business model, and we are now preparing to expand to Airbnb and Expedia.

We are a small team looking for a second founding engineer. You will work directly with us to build AI agents, shape architecture, and ship code quickly.

The Role

Full-stack role with a backend-heavy split across Python, Django, React, and Tailwind.

You will work on high-volume data, browser automation, MCP, AI-assisted workflows, and AI agents.

Our stack is Python and React, but we will consider candidates from similar stacks like Node.js, Vue.js, or Ruby on Rails. The mindset and ability to ship fast matters more than the specific language on your CV.

Scale the Backend: Build and ship features using Python, Django, and Postgres.
AI Agents: Build agent harnesses, evals, memory, and tool workflows for revenue managers.
High-Volume Scraping: Manage enterprise-level scraping, browser automation, and reverse-engineering of public data sources.
Chrome Extension: Maintain and expand the extension that connects our platform with customer accounts.
Ship Fast: Use Claude Code and Codex heavily so the team can focus on the complex logic and customer problems.

The Logistics

Remote-first role for UK-based candidates.
You should expect to be in London for WeWork sessions at least a few days per month, flexibly, for onboarding, planning, and product work with the team.
Salary: £70k - £100k (depending on experience).
Equity: Up to 1% options (4-year vesting).

Who You Are

Entrepreneur: You have startup or small company experience as a founder or early employee. You care about solving problems and shipping product, not just writing code.
Pragmatic: You know when to build for scale and when to ship a "hacky" fix that unblocks a customer.
AI-First: You use AI coding tools with multiple agents to ship faster and better. If you do not use frontier AI tools already, this is not the role for you.
Team Player: You take responsibility for the whole product, not just your part. You collaborate well and care about the team winning.
Autonomous: You want direct responsibility. You dislike micromanagement and enjoy taking a ticket from "idea" to "deployed."

Interview Process

1. 30 minute non-technical call with the CTO.
2. 1 hour technical pair-programming challenge with the founding engineer. No leetcode, just real product problems.
3. Meet in person with both founders.
4. Offer.
