Connect Claude, Claude Code or Codex to myDataValue
Add myDataValue to Claude, Claude Code or Codex and sign in to your team.
You sign in with your own myDataValue login, so there is no API key to manage, and you choose which team’s data the assistant can read.
What the connector does
The connector uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard that lets an AI app use another app’s tools and data. Once it is connected, your assistant can:
- Read your team’s data in myDataValue: properties and listings, prices, promotions, reservations, search views and conversion, search rank, reviews, competitors, Genius and Preferred, the changes made to your properties and how the automation ran.
- Explain why one stay costs what it does, layer by layer.
- Check what guests pay right now on the public Booking.com and Airbnb pages, on teams with public price checks switched on.
- Work out the promotion percentage that gives guests a target discount, as a what-if, and turn an answer into a CSV or Excel file.
- Choose the competitors in your Booking.com comp sets when you ask it to.
Your assistant recommends and you make the change. It cannot change prices, promotions, programmes, fees or connections on Booking.com, on Airbnb or in myDataValue, and it cannot sign in to Booking.com or Airbnb for you. The one exception is for teams with the connected PMS and RMS feature: it can make a change your own PMS or RMS API allows, once you ask and confirm. For the product overview, see myDataValue MCP.
What you need
- Claude on the web, desktop or mobile, Claude Code, or Codex. ChatGPT chat and other clients are not supported at the moment.
- A myDataValue account on a team with an active subscription or trial. A team that has not used its free 7-day trial can start it when you sign in.
- Booking.com or Airbnb accounts connected to that team (Connect Booking.com and Airbnb).
- The server address, if your assistant asks for one:
https://api.mydatavalue.com/mcp
Let your assistant set itself up
In the app, open Connections → AI assistants and select Copy prompt. Paste it into your assistant, which reads myDataValue’s setup guide, walks you through sign-in and lists your properties to check the connection. Claude Code and Codex can run the setup commands themselves; in Claude, the assistant tells you what to select.
Claude
Use the published myDataValue connector in Claude on the web, desktop or mobile.
- Open the myDataValue connector in Claude’s directory, or select Open Claude connector under Connections → AI assistants in the app.
- Select Connect.
- In the browser window that opens, sign in and choose your team.
- In a conversation, turn on myDataValue in the conversation’s connectors.
If the published connector is not available
Add myDataValue as a custom connector instead:
- In Claude, open Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Enter the name
mydatavalueand the URLhttps://api.mydatavalue.com/mcp. - When the authentication choices appear, choose Sign in now and Register automatically. Leave request headers and manual credentials empty.
- Finish adding it, then select Connect if sign-in has not started.
Claude’s guide to custom connectors explains its controls.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, the workspace owner may need to add or allow the connector before you can connect it.
Claude Code
Claude Code can use the connector you added in Claude.
- Sign in to Claude Code with the same Claude account, using your Claude subscription login.
- Run
/mcpand check that myDataValue is listed and enabled.
Add it from the terminal
If you use Claude Code with an API key or another provider, or myDataValue is not listed in /mcp, add it from the terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user mydatavalue "https://api.mydatavalue.com/mcp"
Then run /mcp, select mydatavalue and authenticate in your browser. To check whether it is already configured, run claude mcp get mydatavalue. Your workspace policy can limit which servers you add; the Claude Code MCP guide explains the settings.
Codex
Add myDataValue from the terminal, then sign in:
codex mcp add mydatavalue --url "https://api.mydatavalue.com/mcp"
codex mcp login mydatavalue
Run codex mcp list first to see whether it is already there; if it is, run only the login. Start a fresh Codex session afterwards.
Without the terminal, open Settings → MCP servers in Codex, add mydatavalue as a Streamable HTTP server with the URL above and save, then select Authenticate. The Codex MCP guide explains these controls.
Sign in and choose your team
Every route ends in the same browser window:
- Sign in to myDataValue, or create an account. If the wrong account is signed in, select Switch account.
- Under Team, choose the team whose data your assistant should read. A team that has not used its trial says “Allowing access starts this team’s free 7-day trial.”
- Under Permissions, review what the connection may do: read your team’s data and choose the competitors in your Booking.com comp sets.
- Select Allow access.
The screen marks your assistant as an Unverified app, because any app can register under any name. Check that the address under “This will send access to” belongs to your assistant before you allow it.
Never paste a password or sign-in code into the chat. If your team is missing or cannot be chosen, see Troubleshoot the connector.
Check that it works
Start a new conversation or session and ask:
List my properties
Your assistant should list your Booking.com properties or Airbnb listings. If your team has none connected yet, it tells you what is left to set up. Then try the examples in What to ask your AI assistant.
