Connect Booking.com and Airbnb to myDataValue

Connect each account once, give lasting access, and fix a lapsed sign-in.

myDataValue reads your properties, prices, promotions and bookings from your Booking.com and Airbnb accounts. You connect each account once; this guide is also where to come back when one asks for a new sign-in.

Before you start

  • Use Chrome on a computer, with the myDataValue extension installed and turned on. Your logins reach myDataValue through it.
  • Log in to the Booking.com extranet or to airbnb.com in the same browser, as the account that manages your properties.

You type your password on Booking.com or Airbnb only. myDataValue never asks for it, sees it or stores it. When the extension cannot be reached, a one-line warning at the top of each page in the app names the fix.

Connect a Booking.com or Airbnb account

In the app, open Connections → Accounts: the Accounts card under Booking.com or under Airbnb opens that channel’s accounts.

For Booking.com:

  1. Press Sign in to Booking.com. The account your browser signs in to joins your team, and its import starts by itself.
  2. To add another account, log out of the extranet and log in as the other account. Then press Add another Booking.com account under the table, followed by Start the import.

For Airbnb:

  1. Press Open Airbnb and log in on airbnb.com, if you are not logged in already.
  2. Back on the Accounts page, press Connect Airbnb account. If several Airbnb logins are open, pick the one to connect.
  3. For another account, log out of airbnb.com, log in as that account, and press Connect another Airbnb account.

The first import takes a few minutes and carries on if you close the page.

Give myDataValue lasting access

Browser logins expire. Access granted to myDataValue does not: it lets the nightly refresh reach your properties and lets you switch Auto on.

  • Booking.com: open Connections → Booking.com access (the Property access card under Booking.com), tick properties, press Grant Access and confirm. Booking.com may ask you for a verification code. Each new property needs the same step, unless you invite myDataValue once as a user on your Booking.com primary account, which covers every property, including ones you add later. The AI revenue agent can walk you through that invite.
  • Airbnb: open Connections → Airbnb access (the Property access card under Airbnb), tick listings and press Grant Access. This adds myDataValue as a co-host, which shows on the public listing. Airbnb allows about 50 invites a day, so a large portfolio takes more than a day.

On Booking.com, access lets myDataValue manage promotions and programmes and read analytics, property details and bookings. It cannot change your password, payout or contact details, message guests, or accept or cancel reservations. On either channel you can remove access at any time.

Keep your data current

myDataValue syncs every night: Booking.com properties with access granted at 23:00 UTC, and Airbnb accounts at 05:00 UTC. A sync only brings data into myDataValue; it never changes anything on the channel.

Press Sync on an account’s row to see a change made outside myDataValue sooner, such as a new property or rate plans edited in the extranet. On Booking.com, the arrow beside Sync offers Sync only new properties, which is quicker on a large account.

When an account needs attention

What you seeWhat it meansWhat to do
Airbnb Status reads InactiveAirbnb expired myDataValue’s saved session. Listings without co-host access wait until it is renewed.Log in on airbnb.com as that account, then press Connect on its row.
Booking.com Browser login reads Not currentNo login reaches the account. Properties with access granted still refresh nightly.Press Sign in again and sign in on Booking.com as that account.
A Connections card reads Session expiredOne of that channel’s accounts needs a step above.Open the card.
A Connections card reads Extension requiredThis browser has no working myDataValue extension.Install or turn on the extension, then reload the page.

The extension renews the Airbnb session of every account your browser is logged in to. An Airbnb account that no such browser is logged in to turns Inactive every few days, so co-host access is the lasting fix.

A property marked Inactive in the Promotions table is a different thing: Booking.com reports it as not bookable. Its price stays as last pushed, and the nightly refresh pauses until it is bookable again.
